Someone is almost one!!! AMAZING!
Little miss Sydney has changed so much over this past month….read on and see for yourself!!!
Toward the end of January, she started eating some table foods rather than the standard mush…and she has tried and liked basically everything that has been put in front of her! She is QUITE the eating machine!!! She has tried broccoli, green beans, lima beans, peas, carrots, waffles, banana, apple, grapes, potato, animal crackers, graham crackers, avocado, chicken, even venison and LOVES it ALL but prefers veggies over fruits! She literally just shovels food in her mouth non-stop! Ad what is super cute is no matter what is in her mouth, if you put something new on her tray, she’ll open her mouth and spit out whatever is in it and grabs for the new food!! :)
This is a typical eating situation!
not only does she like to eat everything food-wise within sight, but she also sticks just about anything and everything into her mouth….including crayons (doesn’t she just look so innocent, like hasn’t a clue she’s done anything wrong, and doesn’t seem to mind the taste of crayons either…hmmm)….
she is also quite attached to her sippy cup!
Another huge milestone for her is crawling!!! Up until Monday the 7th, she was is scooting around so well, but still not crawling….from seeing where she would start to where she ended up and how quick she got there, you’d swear she was crawling, but she just wasn’t quite there yet, and she had a very unique way of getting around; kind of an up on all fours, collapse, sit and spin/roll – crazy kid!
But that all changed on Monday, and now she is mobile!! watch out! its crazy and is taking some getting used to – I’m just so used to sitting her down somewhere and not having to worry about her getting into anything within a three foot radius of where she was sitting, but now, she gets into everything….cat’s water all over the floor, stuff like that!! :)
Her sleep could be better, but could be worse too! she is getting up 2ish times a night. We were a bit interrupted in trying to get her to cry it out, because she has been sick….stomach flu and ear infection…yuck! but that made for some serious cuddling!
It is so fun to watch her personality develop…she is such a goof and just cracks herself up sometimes, its so cute!
She is just a happy happy baby!
…yet still QUITE strong willed!!! ever the little diva that one! :)
She loves bath time and has even started brushing her teeth on her own, well kind of!!
She has been really aware of herself lately, she tries to put things on her head or her shoes on her feet…cute!
she’s quite the girly girl….
but since she has her brother to look up to, an she idolizes him…she has quite the little tom-boy in her too! she loves to take owen’s trucks and roll them around
They really do play so well together…he helps her out by getting her toys and showing her how they work, reading books to her and she is just in awe of him, hopefully it lasts!!! :)
One of the other things she loves to do right now is to put things away – she will put her toys in containers/boxes or tries to give me things too (maybe she gets that OCDness from me?!)
She is still not standing or even trying to put weight on her legs yet…but when we put her in the johnny jump up, she does jump and at least bears some weight on her legs
She has just started pulling herself up on her knees to get a better look at things…
She is wearing size 9 mo or 12 mo clothes and size three diapers
she is pushin 20lbs and is the sweetest thing ever!
