Summer Snippets….

 

Just snippets from our lives lately….

its been super hot throughout July and August, so we’ve been outside a lot on the deck – mostly in the pool (our hillbilly hot tub / redneck retreat).  the kids love to play outside, and syd has conquered the slide!  but protective brother still helps her out a little bit!  :)

awww, henry loves mickey! mass chaos during dinner….im picking up something off the ground, al’s cleaning trays, syd and retta are fighting, greg’s feeding henry, and owen is nowhere to be found…..(scott’s taking the pic)

i swear travis had just as much fun as owen swimming in the pool, owen just layed on travis’ back and rode around…he even posed quite gracefully as they swam around! :)  (i love how owen’s feet And hands are pointed)

nothin like a “spot of tea” during pool time!  which reminds me….as a late birthday gift, uncle travis brought owen a dvd of the royal wedding….(owen was quite intrigued by it when he watched it over at grans house with katy and uncle a while back and talked about it for days, he loved the ‘royal queen’ and the funny hats and would do a ‘princess wave’ and say 'hello’ with a british accent….) we must have watched the dvd trav brought over 20 times!, the kid was obsessed!

Syd and baby brian!  syd was SO jealous when we brought her old toy out of the basement for him to play with, so she had to lay there with him and play too…

our little “Garbage Pail Kid”   (her hair is half matted down, half spiked up with sunblock, an apple is jammed in her mouth, and her face, hands, tray, and cup are all smeared with ketchup…love that kid)

we went to Fremont last week to celebrate Nathan and Teresa’s ENGAGEMENT!  Congrats, guys! 

We went to dinner at the Blind Squirrel – it was yummy!

owen’s birthday this year was the party that just kept going and going!  at the end of july, we got together with scotts fam and celebrated Owen’s third birthday together….
