I always struggle with birthday posts …because i try to capture the essence of these little people I love…but it’s so hard to do
through pictures and words and even harder to go back over the past year and remember all the fun quirky ways these kids have changed and grown…but I’ll do my best!
This little FIVE year old has always had the biggest personality! She just loves life and loves to learn! She’s kind, and thoughtful, giving, and smart and her sense of humor amazes me!
she was SO proud of her garden at little people’s over the summer – she brought home some tomatoes for us to try…but not before she tried one first

i did sign her up for a 3 day princess/dance class and she LOVED it!! her fave thing was ‘leaping’

she is really getting into reading..she has this princess book that reads to you when you press a button – she got it in Missouri and has been ‘reading’ out loud in her room before bed. In aug she asked me if she could read me her book after school and she literally recited it word for word (five pages long and each page about two long sentences). she has been recognizing sight words for a while now and will point them out to me whenever she sees them at the grocery store or on a sign, etc.

this is the kind of stuff that just melts my heart because it really does capture her so well…
I walked into my room to go to bed one night…and she had all her little figures lined up on a footstool and her little slippers laying by my bed

she is super sweet when it’s bed time (usually) the other night, i was putting her to bed and she squeezed me in a tight hug and said ‘im not gonna let you go until the sun goes down’ and sometimes its ‘til the sun comes up’
