FL Part III

 

Our next day we spent tooling around on the golf cart

We spent the morning at the oceanside pool – which was a bit colder than the pool where we were the day before but had such a great view and the kids had a blast!

We brought little squirt guns along and they were definitely a hit, both kids just sat up on the steps and played with them forever!

After nap time, we hit up the giant sandbox and the kids whipped up some mocha-chocco-latte's (owen’s own concoction) for us in their kitchen

FL Part II

On our first day in FL – we decided to head into town and stock up on groceries… we also hit up a fun fruit/veggie market….

syd was so proud to shop for oranges…owen on the other hand didn’t do as well – he had his first fall at the market – and scraped his knees and elbow up pretty good!!

Later in the day we decided to hit the pool!  and we even saw some manatees in the bay!!! here’s one of their tails…

then it was back in the pool for some more fun! check out this beach baby :)

the kids LOVED the kiddie pool – it was the perfect size for them to be able to just do whatever they wanted in!  (including riding on papa’s back!)

then took a litle break afterward!

I’d say judging by the first day, FL was a hit! :)

FL Part I

I’m slightly obsessed with pictures, so our Florida trip was no exception to my paparazzi like tendencies….and thus…Florida will come to you in 7 (yes SEVEN) separate installments…

Part I – Our flight for Florida left the afternoon on Easter Sunday. 

I ended up taking the kids to the park before their naps to try to have them burn some energy off so they would sleep good and we could *hopefully* have a good flight!

LOVIN the tire swing…at one time all three of us were on it together…by far a Kole Kiddo favorite!

happy syd just runnin around! by the way it was FREEZING – and we could not have chosen a better time to get away and  into some sunshine and warmth!

waitin to for syd to wake up so we could leave and playing with his new remote control car in the empty living room (we decided to have our carpets cleaned while we were gone – lots of work to clear things out while trying to pack for a week away – but it was worth it!)

happy girl on the plane!  both kids did AWESOME! i dont even think they knew they were on a plane – they played with toys, read books, played with stickers, colored and ate plenty of snacks and the flight was a SUCCESS!!

the next leg of our journey was driving about 2 1/2 hours to Jensen Beach, where we would be staying.  we got to bed at about 10:30 that night, but both kids did surprisingly well!!

SB2012 – the Kickoff!

 

Spring Break 2012 was an extended one for us this year…we planned a week long trip to Florida on the week following what is the ‘actual’ spring break for schools in our area. 

 

I had the Thursday and Friday of the week of Spring Break off of work and the kids daycare was closed, so we decided to hit up the zoo with some friends on Friday morning.

We went with Stephanie and Kylie.

The kids got to see all kinds of fun animals!

Owen even braved it out by touching a lizard!

Managed to get them to stand still and pose by the penguin statue, just couldn’t get them both looking in the same direction!  :) 

 

Definitely a fun trip to the zoo – the kids had a blast! We need to get back there sometime again soon!  It was pretty cold the morning we were there and not all of the animals were out yet, so I’m sure another trip is in order soon! :)

Later that night, we went downtown to visit up with Kate, Mike and Megan who were in town from Wisconsin! 

The kiddos haven’t seen each other in a while and it was fun to get them together now that they’re all walking and can interact with each other more independently!

The tulips were already out, so we took advantage of some fun photo ops! :)
