Still getting caught up on posting pics…these are from the turkey scott got at the end of April.
He let both kids check it – owen wasn’t scared at all – syd was pretty shy (she’s saying ‘so shy’ and hiding her face here)
…then she really started to like it!!! 
…and then she wanted to take it to play with her….

Our last day in FL! Papa surprised the kids with doughnuts in the morning…they were so excited about them :)

We went down to the beach and owen got to sit on papa’s lap on the golf cart and help drive (proud much?)
and then he got to drive all by himself! :)
it was VERY windy that day – but still warm and the sky was so pretty!

and one last trip to the pool later that afternoon…the kids didn’t want to say goodbye!

nothing like ending our vacation in style, but some good ol noodle fighting! :) 
And here’s one comfy, worn out little girl, the morning we left florida…we had to get up before 7….notice the sleeping beauty has her cup with jelly fish, two books, a doll, and her sippy cup (we normally never let her sleep with her sippy, but the night before, it just worked out to get her to sleep) :)
on the plane – syd had a tough time on the way home, throwing a couple of fits,but she finally fell asleep about 30 min before landing…Owen was a little stinker and had to use the restroom just minutes before takeoff…we had asked him many times before if he had to go and he didn’t…then all of a sudden he did…the attendants were like, can’t he wait until we’re in the air…and i was like, not unless you want to clean up a mess on his seat…lol… :) other than than, it went much better on the plane both ways than I thought it would have gone with a 3 yr old and 2 yr old!
Two tired little kids – fast asleep the night we got home! 
what a fun time with family – it was so awesome to spend so much time with the kiddos! Already looking forward to family vacay 2013! :)
and our spring break fun continues!
the kids discovered the connect four game – they LOVED putting the pieces in and letting them all fall out the bottom…
We decided to head off to the Oceanographic Center and feed the sting rays…owen was so excited about it
he reached right in and touched them and tried to feed one a piece of shrimp…syd on the other hand was a little scared by the whole thing…

syd was so tired by the time we headed out…but she was SO proud of the ‘J-fish’ and cup she got to pick out of the gift shop (she still sleeps with it every night…lol) 
Later in the day, the kids went on a lizard hunt with grappy…they’re sneaking up on one really quietly here…. :)

later that evening – scott and i got to have a date night and the kids had some fun with grandma and grappy – and went to the pool and blew their bubbles!

us on our ‘date night’ we went out for dinner, walked around downtown, and drove around – and of course went out for ice cream! :)
Our next couple days were full of both laziness and fun!
Here’s some examples of the lazies :) 
scott and i went on a fishing charter for the better part of a day…we caught lots of sea bass, and a few other random things…we saw flying fish, a shark, lots of dolphins, and a few turtles while we were out on our excursion! 
the next day we headed down to the pool for some fun…these kids were little fish!
…meanwhile…the guys were out fishing and caught enough for us to do a fish fry :)
who knew fish had human looking teeth?! check it out kids…
later that day, owen, papa, and i walked over to the mini golf course and had some fun….

after syd got up, we headed out to check out a fun playground…
syd couldn’t wait to get there!

this playground was awesome, it was three stories of climbing and slides and tunnels…the kids had a blast exploring! 
and what better way to end an evening but with a trip to get some ice cream? minutes after this pic was taken, syd tumbled off owen’s lap and grandma somehow swooped in and rescued syd from crashing down on the cement onto her head….crisis averted!
