Ok so I'll preface this post with a fair warning to those of you readers with weak stomachs. There is...eehm...lets put it this way...a picture of the worlds largest blowout featured below...enter post at your own risk!
We've been a house full of sickies! I ended up taking Owen to the Dr on Monday only to learn he had a double ear infection AND pinkeye! poor babe! and I have been struggling with a cold since last weekend, everything from stuffy nose and coughing to ear aches and fever - yuck!!
Poor little crusty eyes...
Owen is getting used to his helmet - beginning today he'll be wearing it for 23 hours each a day! What a sweet little trooper, between the helmet, the sickness and also some changes at his daycare - he's really been hangin in there!!
Also, the antibiotic he's on is giving him some bowel troubles : ( look at what Scott had fun with while mom was out at the doctor....
uh oh that stain looks like it could be trouble...
literally splatters up to his armpits! yuck! (glad I wasn't there!!) notice how pleased he looks with himself?!
Not much else to report, as we've been pretty much housebound. Scott has managed to dodge the bug which is great for both him and I - as he's been an awesome help around the house and with Owen, as I try to recuperate!!
A few of Owen's fun things to do...
Thinks anything new is the best thing ever (think paint stirrer or mini flashlight) - with new toy in tow he is completely enthralled for at least 20 minutes, staring at it and waving it around and turning it over and over.
Last weekend, he started reaching out for me with both arms for me to hold him
Puckers his lips and makes blowing sounds
Has a CRAZY laugh thing goin on...
Twirls his tongue (another reason I think a little chomper will be out in no time)...
He loves to read and be read to...
In the bath, he tries to lean over and lick the front of the tub and he LOVES to try to catch water in his mouth when we're rinsing his hair
He is just a sweet precious boy!!

it is amazing what a small body can do. Good job O! Way to have that awesome blow out when mommy wasn't home!! :)
Mike is experiencing PTSD from the blowout picture. I think he may need therapy. I think Owen is a SUPER CUTE quarterback. Can't wait to see you guys in a few weeks. Auntie Kate
He DOES look rather pleased with himself.
Steve and I both enjoyed how pleased Owen looked with himself after that blowout. He could not have been prouder!
