I just discovered the best website ever - its a site where you can go to download FREE workout mixes for your ipod!! If ONLY I had known about this before spending so much time making fun running mixes in the past.
Anyway, the best thing about this site, is there is also an area where you can download a training mix for going from "first day to 5k" I love this idea....I've really wanted to get back into running, but just haven't found the time or felt like I knew a good way to get back into it...but I think this will be just what I need!
What's really cool is that this interval training mix plays music and then has a little "chime" that lets you know when to go from walking to running and vice versa...much easier than trying to follow some of those interval training matrix things that are out there.
Can't wait to try it out tomorrow! I'll keep you posted on how it goes!

Very cool. I tried doing the running thing last year, and did well for a while until I completely messed up my knee in an unrelated incident. We did the couch to 5K plan.

Steve just started it again this past week. I'm not really able to join this time, which is kind of o.k. with me cuz I kind of hate running...even when I try to like it. :) I like the idea of the music chiming when you need to switch from a jog to a walk though because that is the worst part... trying to keep track of the time! I'll pass this along to Steve. I think he'll like this a lot.
