Christmas for us started out on the 19th with Christmas with the Koles @ Gm and Gpa’s ‘clubhouse’ – Owen was so excited to go to the clubhouse because it made him ‘just like Mickey”
Here’s Syd, Kenz and I with Great Grandma Kole
This pic just cracks me up! Kenz and Dylan feeding Syd puffs
Christmas Eve was our next party, and we celebrated with Scott’s immediate family in the morning, we all hung out in our jammies, ate lots of goodies, and just had fun!!
The kids all got matching ones (even matching robes!) from Aunt Jen!! SOOOO cute!!
little lady on her first Christmas, not so sure about everything! Two little boys so excited to dig into the gifts!!
Owen opening his stocking with Papa
This shot also cracks me up, Dylan is SO excited for his new DS game – too cute! :)
Isn’t Sydney to young to be getting something from Victoria’s Secret?! Nah, just a little family tradition to use boxes and bags from there during inappropriate times to inappropriate people :)
Never fear….it was just a super cute pink hat with a cammo butterfly inside the bag!! :)
Such innocence….Love that guy!
…Digging right in! Helping Uncle Paul open his gifts
Helping Papa
this has got to be the cutest thing ever! They look like they’re playing a clapping game or trying to be each other in a mirror!
On Christmas Eve night, Owen put out a cookie and milk for Santa and on Christmas morning, Owen was so excited to see if he had eaten the cookie or drank any of the milk.
We opened gifts from Santa right away that morning and Scott and I opened the ones from each other. Santa brought Owen, in his words: “big boy fire truck bed”! (thanks, Jen!)
Syd tearing right into a present! She was totally into everything on Christmas morning!
After we opened gifts, the kiddos got dressed up (a fam tradition my bros started – where they put on sweaters and slick back their hair on Christmas morn, just to be goofs!
We tried to get some cute pics of the kids, but they didn’t really want to cooperate entirely…but we did get some halfway cute shots, nonetheless!
She’s getting so tall, he can barely see over her!!
After that we headed over to Gran’s house and we started our time together by singing Happy Birthday to Baby Jesus, Owen totally got into that because he loves to sing, and it was a way to let him know that Jesus is the reason we are celebrating together!!
Once again those kiddos got spoiled! Syd got all she wanted – “her two front teeth!” The second one popped through on Christmas morning!!
This year we remembered to get a family shot of everyone together!
Syd and Gran
My little boy! Owen was a good little elf and helped pass out gifts
Christmas night we tried putting Owen in his big boy bed, but he was sobbing after a while, so thankfully we didn’t put his crib away yet, so back in the crib he went! We’ll try again later!! In the morning he talked to Gran about sleeping in his big boy bed and he said “I cried so I went in my crib and I peed in my crib” – pretty much sums it up!
On Sunday we celebrated Christmas with the VanIwaarden’s and once again the kids were more than spoiled!
Owen hanging out with the big boys!
Sweet girls!
All of us with Great Grandma! And an attempted shot with all the great grandkids with Great Grandma….Brooke has left the scene, Syd is upset, Kenz is helping her and the others are staring at something much more interesting than posing for a dumb picture! :)
Thankfully, Jen had quick picture taking skills and managed this one!! (syd is not on GGma’s lap cuz she almost threw herself off, so starting on the floor seemed like a better idea! :) )
Monday rounded out our Christmas festivities…Aunt Barbara and Uncle Richard were originally planning to visit over Christmas, but ended up not coming until Monday afternoon. So we had another Christmas, and Owen and Syd were spoiled once again!
From Aunt Barbara and Uncle Richard, Sydney received the most adorable little giraffe jacket, blanket and booties – is she not the cutest?
Owen and his cool new snowflake pop up book!
Playing on his new ‘pooter’ with Uncle Richard – he was unbelievably excited to have his own computer, when he first started playing with it he would just look around and say “i have my own pooter’ and just start beaming!
I have much more to come including our New Year’s Celebration, our week at Gran’s, and our bathroom renovation!
Thank you to everyone for all of the fun, memories, and wonderful gifts!
I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday and was able to spend some great quality time with family like we were! :)
