Missing A Wonderful Lady

Grandma VI went to her forever home in January.

Sydney Charlotte was named after her Great Grandma Charlotte VI

she will surely be missed!  So greatful my kiddos had the opportuntity to get to know their Great Grandma!  And what a legacy – of almost a century of life she leaves!

Charlotte Van Iwaarden, age 98, of Holland, passed away Thursday, January 29, 2015.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter in 1981, and a granddaughter Kimberly Bontekoe in 2010.

She was a member of Fellowship Reformed Church.

Charlotte is survived by her children, Mary and Preston Bontekoe, Tom and Carol Van Iwaarden, and Nancy and James Kole all of Holland; 6 grandchildren, Brian and Mari Bontekoe, Michele and Jay Bellin, Kellie Lincourt, Steven and Manda Van Iwaarden, Jennifer and Paul Solis, and Scott and Leslie Kole; 14 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be noon Monday, February 2, 2015 at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th St. Holland with Rev. James Baar officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. Sunday, February 1, and one hour prior to the service on Monday. Memorial contributions may be given to Fellowship Reformed Church.
