Seven Months

Sydney Charlotte is seven months old!!!

And she’s been up to so much lately! Changing right before our eyes – I just can’t believe how quickly it has gone!

Lately, she has been trying to sit on her own, but still needs someone to be right by her since she flops over pretty easily.

She isn’t really even trying to move yet, other than scooting a little when she’s on her tummy.  She’s just very into trying to figure things out to be too concerned about being on the move. 

She is enjoying her tummy much better these days and stays there and looks at things and even props herself up on her elbows now. 

I think she is also just realizing that she can put weight on her legs, but not all the time.  Such a crazy little lady, usually she has spaghetti legs!! :) 

 

She is still on same eating / sleeping schedule as last month, for the most part...two bottles in the am, food around noon, then bottle, food and another bottle before bed.  She sleeps every 2-3 hours and her naps will vary from 30 min to 3 hours!  She sleeps through the night at times but usually has been getting up 2 or so times a night to get her paci pack!  (oh why did we ever start letting her have that in bed??!)

Right now she has thrush - and is on her second round of meds for it, and I'm thinking that the time has come….to stop breastfeeding ; due to both the thrush and a lot of other reasons.  I’ve given it a lot of consideration but I know this is the right decision – but I am still having a hard time letting go, I think – in the end  though, I think its the best decision for both of us! 

She has also been trying so many new foods now: squash, peas, carrots, sweet potatoes, green beans, bananas, pears, applesauce, and she LOVES all of them!!

She is wearing wearing a size 2 diaper and 6-9 month onesies and pants and size 9 mo in her little sleepers. 

She loves getting kisses on her neck; and especially thinks its quite hilarious when papa does it to her, since his mustache tickles her!  :) 

She loves her bath, and most nights she takes one with Owen in her little chair in the tub – we haven’t used her baby tub since she was brand new – and have yet to try the sink with her, since she is not sitting up quite well enough yet.  She loves to get bundled up and cozy in her towel or her robe afterward!  

She loves to hang out in one of her carriers and on this particular night, she ‘hung’ out while I washed Owen up for bed.  She was soooo happy in there!  The camera was on a really slow shutter speed when Scott took this pic but I thought it turned out kind of interesting. 

…now thats a little better.  Look at that happy girl!

No matter what her mood is – whenever Owen is around she will just crack right up! Its so sweet to see how these two love each other so much! :) 

When you sing patacake or ‘jump up and down’ she will hit her fists together and make little noises like she’s trying to sing along

She loves to talk and is making new noises each day it seems.  Her latest are ‘dee’ and ‘gee’ sounds in addition to her standard ‘baa’ and she will respond back to you when you say the noises to her. 

She is also doing this crazy deep inhale thing and makes this high pitched kind of sound – it sounds sort of like she’s  hyperventilating or something - but she’s just testing her vocals!

And not to disappoint…here she is with Froggy and her Bear!
