Three

Hard to believe but little miss syd turned 3!

Here three year stats:

(a little over 3 yrs old on 5/10/13)

38.25” - 74th percentile

30.9 lbs - 48th percentile

She started drawing people – which are basically circles with long legs and no arms…so cute!

they then evolved into circles with arms and legs and scribbles – which were eyes, nose, mouth and hair…. and she LOVES stickers – will put them all on top of each other and will sit and keep busy with them for quite a long time!

she loves crafting and really gets into it!

she loves books and when she wants you to read one to her – she’ll hand you one, open it up and say ‘talk to this’

loves to cuddle

she was getting way big for her crib but we weren’t ready to get her a big bed yet, so we took the rails off for more of a day bed – just before she turned three

she thought she was HOT stuff!

Another love of hers is music and dancing!

She can really keep herself occupied quite well – especially when she is supposed to be going to bed…she will sing and read in bed forever, talk to herself play with her blanket, toys, etc - for up to two hours! 

this is a little tent she built for her ‘pet’ out of books one day during nap time

she has really started using her creativity – this is her with a pack of gum talking on her ‘phone’

she had her first haircut just after she turned three…one night after her bath she looked a little too much like billy ray cyrus in the old days and i just couln’t take the mullet anymore…

The arguing and her and Owen tattling on each other has started!

One thing she still can’t handle is being told ‘no’ – if you do…watch out she loses it!

She is quite the talker and very inquisitive …especially when you get her one on one – she just asks question upon question…

we were watching bambi together - she asks: ‘mama those is owls perched on those branches?’

listening to some Christmas music in the car exclaims “mama, it sounds like church in here”

she refers to any day prior to the current  days as ‘last day’ -  used in a sentence: she was telling me about her day at school:  i got marker on myself at school last day, but it comed off

calls things “singysing” (thingy thing)

me: talking to gran on the phone “i gotta get these guys to bed” syd: getting really upset *yelling* “i not a guy, I a girl”

calls a candy cane a ‘candy can’

we were getting ready for bed and i was asking her what pjs she wanted to wear and pulled a pair out and said, how about these ones with the elephants...she looks at me and yells NO (i figured she didn’t want to wear them)...then exclaims: ‘they don’t have elephants! Just ONE elephant!’

is totally into talking back or telling you what to do...she will say “you don’t talk bad words to me” or “you don't talk bad to me”

one day she was playing with Owen, he must of fell or something...o: “syd, its not even funny” S: i didn't’ even laugh!”

she loves to say prayer at dinner – here’s an example: “thank you for the day and the family and for my corn dog and oranges and thank you for my mama, and papa and my brudah and my synee...amen. 

loves to pretend play - you be the daddy, i be the mommy...etc

She was pretty much fully out of diapers around 2 1/2 – one of the cute things she during potty training:  i cant push my pee out , the batteries are broken!

playing GI Joes:  mama, i used my nice words to owen and said when you are finished, please i can play with goggle guy, and he said yes!  that’s sharing!!

sitting at dinner, she often likes to sit on my lap to eat and she says to me “please you can fork that up?” because she also wanted me to feed her

shopping at aldi - she says “i want to get down and walk on that cheese!” the floor did look like cheese (colby jack)

owen and syd were arguing and owen says, ‘syd, I'm gonna throw your head in the garbage!’ and she screams ‘no!! because then i can’t see people!’

…uh..where does the time go….

just yesterday she was turning ONE

and today’s she’s already THREE!!!

we had a little get together with family to celebrate and grandma made her a cake…she LOVES dinosaurs so requested a dino party!

Grandma even made a card that matched her cake!

   

 

 

 

 

                 

   got her sweet little shirt on Etsy – it says ‘Sydneysaurus’ she was OVER the MOON about it!   

she sat and played with her dinos for quite a bit

and colored dino pitures

and read with her cousin

she also loved her little party hat – and playing hide and seek…too bad the two didn’t go together well for her…. ;) 

      

and after all that partying – she was wiped out 

can’t have a birthday without a pic by her bear….(at first she wasn’t having it!)  Then she calmed down (I *may* have bribed her with a couple skittles)  

love this sweet little girl who is just so full of spunk and life!!
